GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 2080SCPU: Ryzen 7 3700XMotherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Hey everyone! I got this error frequently recently, but I think I managed to fix it.Please comment if you have the same problem and use any of the same components as me: Good luck mate I hope you and anyone else solves your issue. I had all the standard fixes in place prior to finding my solution such as: updating drivers, disabling firewall, safe booting pc, and everything in between short of resetting my pc or updating bios (bad history with updating msi bios and my rig runs great on everything else already).Įdit: I just remembered as well seeing a few people with NVIDIA cards finding the same solution but with geforce I believe or nvidias equivalent to radeon software. Even as I type this im alt tabbed on my other monitor with the game running perfectly. I even took a nap and woke up to my dude sitting in ul'dah. After I purged my computer of all ffxiv files, turned off every setting in amd software that would affect ffxiv it then has worked perfectly all day. The game still wouldn't start after that so I reinstalled the game and it still wouldn't work UNTIL I uninstalled once again and found some ffxiv settings files still hiding in my folders which I then deleted as well as turning off game mode in microsoft settings. After looking through a bunch of people solutions I eventually turned every feature off in AMD software from image sharpening to letting the application run its own settings instead of boosting them with the amd software. I came to the conclusion it was after I was messing with my system settings and in the AMD radeon software to make my game look seeexy. 3700x, 5700xt here that also had the same problem for a few days.
